In the first eight months of this year, Xinjiang ports exported a total of US $ 2.807 billion in clothing and accessories, up 30.8% year-on-year.

Since February this year, Xinjiang textile and apparel exports have risen continuously for 7 months, reflecting the rapid development of Xinjiang textile and apparel industry.

The reporter learned from the Office of the Leading Group for Employment Promotion of the Development of the Textile and Garment Industry in Xinjiang that as of now, the number of textile and garment companies registered in Xinjiang has reached 2525, an increase of 1965 compared with three years ago, and 4.5 times that of three years ago.

Xinjiang has become the province with the hottest investment, the lowest cost, and the fastest development in China's textile and apparel industry. The textile and apparel industry has become the new bright spot in Xinjiang's economy and the main channel for solving the employment of rural surplus labor.
